So Right So Smart - Production

Research and pre-production on So Right So Smart began in the summer of 2006. The film was shot from the fall of 2006 through the summer of 2007, and post-production was completed in December of 2008.

The day-to-day production work was primarily conducted by a 3-person crew that traveled across the country collecting interviews (Director / DP, Producer / Interviewer and Audio / Grip). The film was shot in DVCPro HD with the Panasonic HDX-900 and HVX-200.

Post-production including editing and most motion graphics was completed in-house at MagicWig Production's facilities in Upstate New York. Both the off-line and the on-line edit were done in 720p 24p HD using Final Cut Pro.

In his younger years, Justin Maine pursued a career in visual arts, building a strong foundation in animation, design and photography. But the still image could not contain the stories he wanted to tell, and it was not long before Justin discovered his true love of movies. "A cinematographer is like a painter," Justin says; "light and space are my paint, but my canvas moves and changes."

Guy Noerr brings over 30 years of experience in the production of meetings, conventions, and business theater to So Right So Smart. He has developed creative concepts, themes, and video for such companies as Dr. Pepper, United Technologies, USGBC, and IBM. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Guy brought his talents to Young & Rubicam Inc.and Light & Power Productions before founding MagicWig Productions, Inc. with partners Justin Maine and Don Fisher.

Leanne Robinson Maine credits her producing ability to a diverse background in theatre. An experienced stage performer, designer and director, Leanne has entertained audiences at such venues at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and the Monomoy Theatre on Cape Cod. As Writer / Producer on So Right So Smart, Leanne performs in a role that leverages her creative insight and her organized leadership.

Michael Swantek believes in letting his audience become active participants in the stories he tells, and this informs his artistic style. After spending several years in LA as an Assistant Dialogue Editor in film & television, Mike directed his own screenplay, Wik. Currently a full-time editor for MagicWig Productions, Inc., Mike brings his industry directing and writing experience to every project.
